I am impressed by the format job you did. It was totally worth it, especially the part about the brain surgery. It did enhance everything and was creepy and sad at the same time.
It was also very realistic from what I've experienced. Sometimes it's just hard to let go, especially when it always seems like there's a possible solution around the corner.
