Comments and ConCrit are love! <3

For everything that is lost something is gained. But what? What do we gain from loss? What do we gain when we lose that which is dearest to us?

Nothing, Watson thinks bitterly. Nothing but sorrow and grief, and a pile of dirt in front of a headstone.

And even that is temporary. All that pain will die down to a dull throb in the chest, only occasionally a stabbing pain that leaves you gasping for air.

Grass will grow on this blood soaked earth. Flowers will bloom until the headstone, the grave are overgrown, covered. Holy ground, but forgotten.

*sniffle* The emotion is so intense - the bitterness and the loss and the sense that there's nothing he can do about it. I do love the last image, the contrast of beauty and death. Excellently done!
